SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIFUNGAL ACTIVITY OF SOME N-BRIDGEDHETEROCYCLES DERIVED FROM 4-METHOXYPHENYL)-4-AMINO-5-MERCAPTO-1,2,4-TRIAZOLE

-4-methoxyphenyl)-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-trizole was prepared starti ng from p-anisic acid. This new triazole was employed in the synthesis of some N-bridged heterocycles. All the newly synthesized compounds w ere characterized by analytical, IR,H-1-NMR and Mass Spectral studies. Some of the newly synthesized compounds were screened for their antif ungal property against Thielaviopsis paradoxa, a fungus which is repor ted to cause stem-bleeding disease in coconut plants(1).
