Cobalt tetra-2,3-pyridineporphyrazine (CoPPA) is adsorbed irreversibly
from its solution in sulfuric acid on the surface of pyrolytic graphi
te upon cycling the electrode potential from -0.5 to 0.5 V. Voltammogr
ams of electrosorbed CoPPA are characterized by two reversible redox p
rocesses, whose potentials coincide with those of the redox processes
of CoPPA dispersed on the surface of acetylene black. A technique of e
lectrochemical preparation of composite CoPPA/polyaniline films is dev
eloped, and the features of electrochemical and electrocatalytic behav
ior of CoPPA in them are investigated.
