Abstract
An investigation is reported on how the degree classifications given t o 280 students over a 10-year period would have been changed if the we ighting given to various parts of the course were altered. It is found that the percentage overall changes between degree classifications ar e small, making a difference to about 2 in 100 classifications when th e Final Year weight is changed by 10%.
