Abstract
On the basis of a mass conservation equation describing the kinetics o f precipitation of small particles in a rapidly rotating flow of a dil ute suspension, the process of precipitating solids on the wall of a c entrifuge rotor or a separator disk has been analyzed. Formulas are de rived for calculating the critical diameter, cake accumulation, and cl arification factor.
