Abstract
N,O-bis(tert-butoxycarbonyl)hydroxylamine was synthesized in 85% yield from hydroxylamine hydrochloride and di-tert-butyl dicarbonate in the presence of triethylamine. The chemistry is facile, utilizes readily available reagents and represents an improvement in safety over the pr eviously published method.
