Abstract
External optical-absorption anisotropic radiation thermal detectors ba sed on the thermal-conductivity anisotropy effect are considered. Expr essions are obtained for the volt-watt sensitivity, the noise equivale nt power, and the time constant of thermal detectors made not only fro m single crystals but also from artificially anisotropic optimized mat erials, and the parameters of detectors based on them are given.
