Abstract
Approaches to the synthesis of 1-amino- and 2-amino-2-carboxyethylphos phinic and -phosphonic acids have been studied. A convenient method fo r the preparation of phosphinic acids is the reactions of ethyl dietho xymethylphosphonite with ethyl acetamidomethylenemalonate and ethyl 2- acetamidoacrylate.
