Abstract
Four developments in diabetes care and management have evolved over th e last decade and are now routinely incorporated into clinical practic e: (1) the introduction of recombinant human insulin; (2) the use of s econd generation oral agents; (3) home glucose monitoring and glycohem oglobin monitoring; and (4) a better understanding of the relationship between diabetic control and complications.
