Abstract
The photoluminescence of electron excitations was measured in InAs and InxGa1-xAs self-assembled quantum dot systems. For the first time spi n-orbit-split excitons were observed in resonant photoluminescence whe n the excitation energy was close to the exciton energy; off-resonant photoluminescence spectra reveal heavy-hole excitons.
