Vv. Bulan et Gm. Oleinik, A NANOSECOND CURRENT TRANSDUCER - A HYBRID SHUNT AND ROGOWSKI LOOP, Instruments and experimental techniques, 36(3), 1993, pp. 422-424
The paper describes a nanosecond current transducer which is a hybrid
between a shunt and a Rogowski loop. Its readings are independent of t
he distribution of the current to be measured, and it does not distort
the electromagnetic field where it is located. The transducer was des
igned to measure large currents (tens of kiloamperes) with rise times
of tens of nanoseconds and fall times of tens of microseconds.
