We present manifestly covariant equations and boundary equations for e
lectromagnetism in a moving chiral medium. Then, to solve these equati
ons, we develop a particular formalism based on a four-dimensional ext
ension of the Hertz vector potential satisfying a generalized wave equ
ation. Finally, this formalism is applied to the propagation of plane
waves in a homogeneous isotropic medium and to their excitation by a p
lane wave incident on the boundary of such a medium.
