Abstract
Axial-vector (spin) excitation of I-127 by inelastic scattering of dar k matter (DM) was studied to search for spin-coupled DM. The inelastic process from I-127 has the advantages of a large cross-section, a lar ge scintillation output and of a known nuclear matrix element. Stringe nt limits by direct measurements were obtained on the purely spin-coup led DM candidates.
