Abstract
This report shows the endurance, at least for 8 hour of protein export ation from Drosophila fatty bodies to nutrient media in vitro. The pro tein exportation is maintained, although diminished when the tissue is treated with transcription inhibitors as for example, alfa-amanitin. Several thermal shock (37 degrees C) can not abolish this exportation, an unusual reaction to this kind of treatment. Eletrophoretic analysi s of exported protein and incubated tissue reveal the appearance of hs p (heat shock proteins) bands. The Drosophils fatty body is proposed a s an experimental model (in vitro or in vivo) for the study of protein transportation and cellular behaviour under severe thermal treatment.
