Abstract
The trilobite Goodsiraspis packardi n.gen., n.sp. occurs in rocks belo nging to the lower member of the Silurian (Ludlow; Ludfordian) Barlow Inlet Formation at Goodsir Creek, eastern Cornwallis Island, central C anadian Arctic. Although the species resembles members of the Aulacopl euridae, it is considered to be a Silurian representative of the predo minantly Ordovician family Rorringtoniidae. Its implications for rorri ngtoniid classification are discussed, and the classification of aulac opleuroidean trilobites is briefly reviewed.
