SOME KNOWLEDGE RELATING TO SUGAR-BEET SOW ING IN MULCH

The new technology of sugar beet growing with a sowing into frozen int ercrop - mulch (white mustard, phacelia) was checked up on two experim ent sites (Becvary and Senice na Hane) in the years 1991 and 1992. The expected contribution and the positive aim in both of experimental ye ars were not reached. The indices of yield and quality of sugar beet a t harvest in comparison with traditional technology of growing are neg ative in both of years. The results of verification are only prelimina ry so far and it isn't possible to generalize them. There is necessary to repeat the field experiments in larger extent for the purpose of o bjective appreciation and deduction of conclusions.
