A method of synthesis of new copolymers on the basis of para-azophenyl
ene and aromatic heterocycles (furane, thiophene, pyridine and pyrrole
) has been developed. Copolymers were obtained by the copolymerization
of aromatic bisdiazonium salts with heterocycles. Content of the azog
roups in the main chain of the polymer depended on the monomer's natur
e and temperature of the reaction. Films made-by this method displayed
solvatochromic properties; conductivity was in the range 10(-7)-10(-6
) S/cm.
