Abstract
The effective potential V(eff) of an external constant Abelian chromom agnetic field is calculated in the one-loop approximation in two-dimen sional SU(2) gluodynamics with a Chem-Simons mass m. It is shown that spontaneous vacuum magnetization arises for any finite value of the ma ss, where, starting with some m, the field configuration in question i s stable because the imaginary part of V(eff) vanishes. In contrast to the massless case, for some m the potential V(eff) has two minima, an d a phase transition between them becomes possible.
