The reduction of 3-bromopyrene in DMF at a mercury electrode for scan
rates lower than 0.1 V s(-1) is accompanied by a slow adsorption of an
intermediate, resulting in a catalytic behaviour. The current oscilla
tions take place in a region of the negative faradaic impedance.
