Abstract
Amine-type surfactants containing fluorocarbon hydrophobes were synthe sized and used to study their adsorption at water/air interfaces. They exhibit a high surface activity and decrease both effectively and eff iciently the surface tension of their aqueous solutions. They are able to decrease the surface tension to about 20 mN m-1.
