A physical mechanism of skin appendage macropores activation under inf
luence of electric field is considered theoretically. The macropore is
considered as a long cylinder tube which is closed and flattened out
before the electric field application. The charging of macropore walls
capacitance is the driving force of the electroactivation. During thi
s process the free energy of the system decreases, that is energetical
ly favorable and leads to the pulling of water into the tube and to gr
adual opening of the former one. It is shown that taking into account
the macropore wall conductance results in a considerable slowing down
of the electroactivation process. Time of the opening of a separate ma
cropore is estimated. It is equal to 30 min for macropore 4 mm length.
Theoretically dependence of surface density of activated macropores o
n time is calculated. The obtained theoretical results are in a good a
greement with literature data.
