Abstract
Three tigliane-type diterpenoids, langduin A, 12-deoxyphorbol-13-hexad ecanoate and prostratin, were isolated from the roots of Euphorbia fis cheriana. The first two are new compounds. The third has been isolated for the first time from this plant and showed analgesic and sedative activities in preliminary experiments with mice. The structures have b een determined on the basis of spectral methods. Copyright (C) 1997 El sevier Science Ltd.
