A DECADE OF SURFACE CHANGE ON A NAMIB LINEAR DUNE

Survey data from return visits to a linear dune in the Namib Desert pr ovide information about change in dune form over a decade. The data de monstrate that, although change on these large features is slow, there is none the less considerable movement over this time-scale. The dune s are therefore confirmed to be currently active and not Pleistocene r elics.
