Abstract
In the present study, we have attempted to estimate the resolving powe r of a small-scale neutron radioscopy system, which is being rip-grade d In radioscopic images unsharpness is an important factor characteris ing the image quality; this has been estimated from the digital image of a physically sharp edge object. An edge response function so obtain ed has been used to determine the spatial resolution in terms of a lin e spread function and a modulation transfer function. The results of i nitial experiments have provided a quantitative measure of resolution. A procedure for measurement of these transfer functions and a method to confirm accuracy of measurements using simple test objects are repo rted in this paper.
