Abstract
The negative ions of the isotopes Ra-226, Pa-231, and Pu-244 have been observed by means of accelerator mass spectrometry and their properti es compared with the negative ions of Th and U. The electron affinitie s of all these elements have been estimated to be similar and greater than 50 meV.
