K. Eder et al., THE EFFECT OF LEAD SUPPLY ON LIVER PHOSPHOLIPIDS OF LACTATING RATS, Journal of animal physiology and animal nutrition, 70(2), 1993, pp. 104-108
In the present study, the effect of different lead supply (0, 200, 800
mug/kg diet) on the amounts of phospholipids in the liver of lactatin
g rats and its fatty acid composition was investigated. The lead suppl
y did not influence the amounts of the major phospholipid classes, but
influenced the fatty acid composition of the phospholipids. Thus, the
study shows that lead depletion affects the fatty acid metabolism in
the liver of lactating rats.
