Abstract
A model of polymer chain conformations is introduced which strongly mo difies the Flory theory by accounting for the saturation of hydrogen b onds in hydrosoluble polymers. The theory leads to an unusual pressure -dependent phase behavior, including a critical pressure beyond which hydrosolubility is reduced.
