Abstract
Fertilized eggs of the age of 24 hr from the zebrafish (Brachydanio re rio) were examined. The number of chromosomes is 2n = 50. The size of a metaphase chromosome is 1.5 - 2 mum. The karyogram of the zebrafish is characterized by metacentric and submetacentric, but only few acroc entric chromosomes.
