Abstract
The results of this experiment indicate that cells of the lymphoid sys tem and the liver are susceptible to the effects of lithium chloride. After administration of LiCl by intraperitoneal injection, DNA content lowered markedly. Compared with the control, DNA content decreased in the thymus by 82%, in the lymphoid nodes by 76%, in the spleen by 72. 2% and in the liver by 57.1%. Vitamin C content also dropped after LiC l administration: in the thymus by 51.1%, in the lymphoid nodes by 85. 5%, in the spleen by 74.2% and in the liver by 50.8%.
