J. Ferrandini et al., LINEAMENT STUDY OF LANDSAT 2 IMAGES OF TH E WESTERN HIGH ATLAS (MOROCCO) - CONSEQUENCES, Geodinamica acta, 6(3), 1993, pp. 161-173
The study of the fault system in the basement of the Western High Atla
s leads to the evidence of decakilometric scale lenses. The shape of t
he basement lenses changes across the inlier: West from the Ouzerllah
promontory, they are bounded by N65 and N100 trending directions; East
ward the limits are N80 and N110 trending: N20 trending directions occ
ur into the promontory. The origin of the fault system is discussed, a
s its role during the atlasic orogeny (upper Cainozoic times).
