Abstract
We investigated thermally induced interdiffusion in CdTe/CdMnTe quantu m wells by luminescence spectroscopy. CdTe/CdMnTe quantum wells grown by molecular beam epitaxy were annealed by rapid thermal annealing for 1 min at temperatures between 380 and 550 degrees C. We observed simp le diffusion behaviour in this temperature region, offering the possib ility of shifting the luminescence spectrum up the barrier energy. Our results are discussed using an interdiffusion model.
