Nn. Nikolaev et al., THE FERMI-MOTION EFFECT IN THE SIGNAL FOR COLOR TRANSPARENCY IN (E, E' P) SCATTERING, Physics letters. Section B, 317(3), 1993, pp. 287-292
The signal for color transparency depends on the composition and intra
nuclear rescattering of the ejectile wave packet emerging from the har
d ep vertex. The electron scattering kinematics, in conjunction with t
he Fermi motion of bound nucleons, allows one to control the compositi
on of the ejectile wave packet. Using the diffraction operator techniq
ue developed by us recently we derive the dependence of the color tran
sparency signal on the Bjorken variable x of the scattered electron. T
he Fermi-motion bias is found to be much weaker than has been claimed
recently.
