ANTICORROSION PIGMENTS AND DERIVED COATING SYSTEMS ON THEIR BASIS

The paper deals with a possibility of replacing the toxic anti-corrosi on pigments based on lead and chromium salts with the ecologically har mless pigments of at least equal anticorrosion efficiency. A series of anticorrosion pigments reflecting the anticorrosion efficiencies as s hown in primers was obtained. The highest efficiencies of the corrosio n inhibitors were shown by a zinc ferrite based pigment and a barium c alcium phosphosilicate based pigment. The hitherto usual lead and chro mium pigments showed an inferior efficiency.
