We have performed a Monte Carlo study of a classical three dimensional
Coulomb glass. We use finite size scaling to demonstrate the existenc
e of a spin-glass-like phase transition and determine its critical exp
onents. We find that the transition temperature is well below the bare
energy scale; we attribute this to pairs of nearby sites binding into
weakly interacting effective dipoles. We have also studied the densit
y of states as a function of temperature, we find that the Coulomb gap
begins to develop well above the transition temperature and is nearly
fully formed at T(c).
