Abstract
Theoretical analysis of internal frequency doubling in actively mode l ocked broadband solid state lasers is presented. The analysis is used to study the dependence of mode locked pulsewidth on the second harmon ic conversion efficiency, the modulation depth, and the tuning element bandwidth in an AM mode locked Ti: sapphire laser. The results are pr esented in the form of graphs.
