Abstract
A complex thermal analysis of Berezovo coals with different degrees of oxidation was conducted. A new experimental-calculation method of eva luating the kinetics of complex multistage processes of thermal decomp osition of coal was developed. The kinetic characteristics of thermal decomposition of Berezovo coal were determined and their correlation w ith its initial quality was established. The necessity of considering the specific features of thermal decomposition of Berezovo coal as a f unction of the degree of oxidation was demonstrated in calculating and planning real technological installations for thermal processing of c oal.
