Yo. Begak et al., INFLUENCE OF DISINTEGRATIVE GRINDING OF COAL-TAR RAW-MATERIAL ON THE PROPERTIES OF GRANULATED ACTIVE CARBONS, Journal of applied chemistry of the USSR, 65(10), 1992, pp. 1957-1959
In contrast to ball grinding, the grinding of coals in a disintegratin
g mill is accompanied by increase in the proportion of ordered carbon
in them and increase in the volume of secondary macroporosity during t
he formation of coal-tar pastes and thermal treatment of the carbonize
d granules. The latter factor promotes increase in the rate of activat
ion of the granules with increase in the volume of sorbing micro- and
mesopores.
