Abstract
The use of a computerised system permitted the setting up of an examin ation of the levels of bacterial resistances to antibiotics at the R. Picque hospital. We show, in this study, the results of this examinati on over a period of three years : 1988, 1989, 1990. The results of thi s observation clearly showed the presence of particular phenotypes in some hospital departements. The statistical analysis of the findings a nd its feedback to the clinical services allowed us to improve the use of antibiotics in our hospital.
