Abstract
Infections of the urinary tract are rarely caused by anaerobic bacteri a. We report a case of prostatic gangrene due to Actinomyces meyeri an d Arachnia propionica. This leads to look for unusual bacterial etiolo gy when a prostatitis worsens in spite of a treatment with quinolones. Moreover, we wonder if the administration of non-steroidal anti-infla mmatory agents during the course of the disease may explain the spread of the initial prostatitis.
