Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), treated with L-aspar
aginase are at risk for cerebral thrombosis or hemorrhage because of c
oagulation protein deficiencies. The results and the importance of ser
ial neuropsychological examination after such complications in three c
hildren with ALL are presented. All patients showed marked aphasia and
other cognitive deficits. Recovery was complete in two of three child
ren.
