Abstract
Detailed studies of the absorption kinetics of the DX centre are prese nted. These studies were performed on unique thick AlGaAs:Te layers an d clearly demonstrated the participation of the neutral charge state o f DX as an intermediate state in the photoionization process. The neut ral state of the DX observed here is the localized relaxed energy stat e similar to the ground state of the DX centre.
