Ne. Schmidt et al., A DIFFERENTIAL-PULSE POLAROGRAPHIC STUDY OF THE CADMIUM(II)-NITRILOTRIACETIC ACID SYSTEM - APPLICATION OF A SIMPLE AND VERSATILE SIMULATION, Journal of electroanalytical chemistry [1992], 359(1-2), 1993, pp. 115-124
A differential pulse polarographic (DPP) simulation for a system invol
ving a reversible dissociation coupled with two electrode reactions is
described. The simulation is employed to investigate the effects of e
quilibrium and rate constants on DPP peak currents and potentials. Exp
erimental results for the cadmium(II)-nitrilotriacetic acid system are
shown to be in good agreement with simulated curves incorporating val
ues for the appropriate kinetic and thermodynamic parameters in the ra
nge of these reported in the literature. The simulation has been emplo
yed to investigate the application of DPP with variable pulse width in
the characterization of similar systems.
