Abstract
Three macroscopic mechanisms of thermal decomposition of chromium bis- arene compounds were established in the kinetic region: homogeneous, h omogeneous-heterogeneous, and heterogeneous, confirmed by the agreemen t of the calculated and published empirical kinetic parameters. The pr iority of any mechanism is determined by a set of external and interna l parameters of the system included in the theoretical equation for th e overall macroscopic rate constant of thermal decomposition, consisti ng of three independent terms corresponding to each mechanism.
