Abstract
Faced with a shortage of professional nurses, 37 hospitals in New Jers ey, implemented a variety of approaches to changing the delivery of nu rsing care. Implementation issues, including the positive and negative effects of the changes, are discussed, most project coordinators repo rted that implementation was more difficult than they had anticipated.
