Abstract
The first examples of titanium carbonyls of the general formula LTi(CO )6 have been prepared by the reactions of [Ti(CO)6]2- with R3SnCl (R = Me, Ph, cyclohexyl). NMR spectra established that the products, [R3Sn Ti(CO)6]-, are fluxional in solution at room temperature. A single-cry stal X-ray study of [(C6H11)3SnTi(CO)6]- confirms the presence of seve n-coordinate titanium in this complex.
