Abstract
A dielectric ring resonator antenna structure which radiates like an e lectric monopole is reported. The use of high epsilon(r) resonator mat erial leads to small antenna height. Experiments show that the propose d antenna configuration is potentially useful for constructing small a nd compact 'electric-monopole' antennas.
