Abstract
Transparent optical signal regeneration is demonstrated using a nonlin ear bistable distributed-feedback/Fabry-Perot (DFB/FP) structure, whic h has a high switching contrast (>40 : 1), fast recovery time (4 ns) a nd low threshold power (2 mW).
