Abstract
The Letter reports the experimental generation of a linear optical pat h modulation of 20 lambda range with an accuracy of lambda/200 (lambda = 633nm) using a servo control system driving an optical fibre stretc her. The error signal is provided by mixing interferometric signals wi th an electronic oscillator.
