Abstract
The Letter proposes a general scheme for eliminating all grating lobes in ultrasonic synthetic focusing using a linear array. The Letter als o discusses the relationship between the element spacing, the generate d grating lobes and the elimination scheme. Simulation results show th e validity of the scheme.
