Abstract
Infections due to herpesviruses have received increasing attention ove r the past decade, culminating in the isolation in 1986 of human herpe svirus-6. This is the second of two articles in which we examine the c linical spectrum of acquired herpesvirus infections in children and re view developments in our understanding of the molecular biology, patho genesis, treatment and prevention of these infections.
