Abstract
The reaction of allenic sulfinates with vinyl magnesium bromide afford s the title sulfines which, upon standing, dimerize to the correspondi ng substituted 1,2-dithietane-1,1-dioxides 4. Treatment of trans 4 wit h lithium cyanide in THF leads smoothly to the corresponding (Z)-alken es.
